Eco-Friendly

Pacific Whale Foundation strives to host a green event. We are committed to creating a sustainable festival that betters our environment rather than harming it. We have taken the below steps to promise a festival with a positive environmental impact.

Local and Organic Products
Whenever possible we have selected local and/or organic products to sell at Pacific Whale Foundation's food booth. We will also be serving local and organic products at the Laugh @ da Park Farm-to-Table Dinner on February 19.

Sustainable Seafood
Our Whale Day food booths will include offerings from some of Pacific Whale Foundation's Maui Seafood Watch Program restaurant partners. All of our Seafood Watch partner restaurants are committed to serving only sustainable seafood options. To learn more about the program and see a list of our partner restaurants, visit the Seafood Watch action alert on the Pacific Whale Foundation website, www.pacificwhale.org. Recycling
Recycling stations are placed throughout the venue for glass, plastic, paper and aluminum products.

Solar Power
Whale Day will be partially powered by solar power provided by Rising Sun Solar Electric, LLC.
Biking Benefits

Attendees are encouraged to ride their bikes to the event. There will be special bike parking for those choosing this mode of transportation.
Eco-Alley
Ideas for green living and displays by nonprofits, government agencies and businesses working to preserve Maui's unique environment.
Biodegradable Food Ware
Maui Whale Festival discourages the use of Styrofoam and plastic food ware. Our food vendors use biodegradable plates and utensils.
Eco-Friendly Promotional Material
